Tattoo-Haiku2, as advertised in Poets and Writers Magazine, is officially launched. Benefiting Cedar Tree Inc., a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to transforming lives through writing and literature, the contest will be judged by Jimmy Santiago Baca. So, it’s not like Joseph is going to choose the haiku that gets tattooed on him – this winner and tattoo is to be chosen by Dawne Leiker, a journalist out of Hays, Kansas. Here’s her bio:
Dawne Leiker has accumulated a couple of decades in the newspaper business, both on the advertising and news side. Currently a local government reporter and performance arts reviewer for The Hays Daily News, Leiker also writes features and general news stories.
She attained both her masters of liberal studies degree in journalism/public relations and undergraduate degree in political science at Fort Hays State University.
